Italian club Udinese has officially exercised the buy-out clause for young Senegalese forward Idrissa Gueye, confirming his permanent transfer after a successful loan stint from Metz.
Gueye arrived at Udinese on loan last summer, and he will not be returning to Metz. The transfer has been finalized for a fee of approximately €6 million. Despite limited appearances for Udinese’s first team, Gueye made a notable impact last weekend by scoring his first goal in Serie A as a substitute.
This transfer paves the way for Gueye to potentially secure a more prominent role in Udinese’s first team, contingent on his ability to showcase his talent moving forward.
