The Iranian national football team is facing significant challenges ahead of their upcoming World Cup match against Belgium. The Iranian Football Federation has lodged an official complaint with FIFA regarding restrictions imposed by American authorities that they believe hinder the team’s preparation for this pivotal encounter.

The federation’s appeal highlights their planned schedule, which involved arriving in the host city two days before the match and staying until the day after. This arrangement would have facilitated comprehensive training sessions and recovery processes. However, U.S. authorities have rejected this request, allowing the team to arrive only one day prior to the match and mandating their immediate departure following the game.

Officials in Tehran have expressed concerns that these conditions impose undue pressure on the players and violate the principle of equality among World Cup participants. The federation is now awaiting a response from FIFA, hoping for a reconsideration of the situation.
