Ismael Saibari, the Moroccan international, is garnering attention at the 2026 World Cup, but he remains focused on the team’s collective achievements. Despite his remarkable performance of scoring two goals in two matches, Saibari does not consider himself the standout player of the tournament.
In a recent interview in the mixed zone, the Moroccan forward emphasized the importance of teamwork, stating, “Am I the breakout star of the World Cup? I don’t know. I’m simply trying to help the team, just as each of my team-mates is doing their job.”
Saibari described participating in the World Cup as a childhood dream come true, sharing that the current moment is among the best of his career. “The best moment of my career? Yes, because deep down, it’s a dream I’ve had since I was a little boy: to play in the World Cup for my country,” he noted.
