Legendary Brazilian footballer Neymar believes he will secure a place in the final Selecao squad for the upcoming World Cup.
This World Cup is set to be the last for the 34-year-old Santos midfielder. In a recent flash interview, Neymar was questioned regarding his chances of making it into Brazil’s final roster.
While acknowledging that the ultimate decision lies with coach Carlo Ancelotti, Neymar expressed confidence in his efforts to earn a spot:
“I can’t answer your question… Ancelotti will decide whether I deserve it or not.
I’ve worked hard for this. If I’m not called up, I’ll just be another fan cheering for Brazil at the World Cup,” he stated.
Neymar was previously selected for Brazil’s preliminary squad, but the final roster has yet to be finalized as Ancelotti must narrow down the list of players ahead of the tournament.
