Jordan Ayew, the Ghanaian striker, is facing a challenging period in his professional football career, characterized by repeated relegations. Throughout his tenure in the sport, Ayew has experienced relegation six times with five different clubs.

Most recently, Ayew was relegated with Leicester City, which saw the club drop to the English third tier this season. This follows a history of similar disappointments, including relegations with Sochaux in France during the 2013–2014 season, Lorient in 2014–2015, Aston Villa in 2015–2016, and Swansea City in 2017–2018.

Last season, both Ayew and Leicester City were relegated to the Championship. The team’s subsequent fall to the third tier in the 2025–2026 season marks a particularly difficult chapter in the Ghanaian international’s career.
