José Mourinho, the current manager of Lisbon’s Benfica, has responded to ongoing speculation regarding a potential return to Real Madrid to replace Álvaro Arbeloa. In an interview with Il Giornale, Mourinho, who is a favored candidate of Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, emphasized that his primary objective at the moment is leading Benfica in the Champions League.
Mourinho highlighted that Benfica is enjoying an exceptional season, remaining the only undefeated team in Europe. He expressed that his full attention is dedicated to the three crucial matches that lie ahead.
It is noteworthy that Mourinho previously managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, during which he secured titles in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
