Defender Ibrahima Konaté could become a free agent this summer because his contract with Liverpool is coming to an end. The French player has been frequently linked in reports to the Spanish club Real Madrid.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool is still keen on offering Konaté a new contract. However, the report states that so far, “nothing has been done” regarding an extension.
The source also mentions that Real Madrid is monitoring Konaté’s situation. But it clarifies that this does not necessarily mean the 26-year-old footballer will be moving to Madrid this summer.
Ibrahima Konaté joined Liverpool in the summer of 2021 after moving from RB Leipzig.
