Manchester United is reportedly moving to finalize a transfer deal for Brazilian midfielder Danilo, potentially signaling his return to the Premier League as early as this summer.
According to TeamTalk, the Red Devils have made an offer to Botafogo for the 25-year-old central midfielder. Head coach Michael Carrick views Danilo as an ideal replacement for the departing Casemiro and is eager for the club’s management to expedite the transfer process. His previous experience in the English Premier League, having played for Nottingham Forest from 2023 to 2025, adds to his appeal.
Danilo joined Botafogo from Nottingham Forest for €23 million and has notably made 41 appearances for the club, in which he scored 11 goals and provided 7 assists. His current contract with Botafogo runs until 2029, and his market value is estimated at €35 million by Transfermarkt.
