Mbekezeli Mbokazi has made history in Major League Soccer (MLS) by securing the highest number of votes in the MLS All-Star voting, surpassing all other players in the league.
This achievement will enable him to join a star-studded team that includes Argentina’s Lionel Messi and South Korea’s Son Heung-Min.
In addition, Mbokazi has etched his name in history as the first South African player to feature in the MLS All-Star Game since Doctor Khumalo in 1996.
The Chicago Fire defender has made a remarkable impact in his debut season in the United States, quickly gaining recognition from club fans and football enthusiasts alike. He is currently training with the South African national team, Bafana Bafana, in preparation for the upcoming World Cup.
