In a significant setback for fans of Brazilian club Corinthians and the Netherlands national team, forward Memphis Depay is once again sidelined due to injury. The Dutch star has reportedly suffered another injury shortly after recovering from a previous ailment.

Details: As per Central do Timão, Depay’s latest injury casts doubt on his availability for upcoming matches, occurring just before the World Cup is set to begin. This unfortunate development follows his recent return to full training after overcoming a thigh injury.

During a training session with Corinthians, Depay encountered a challenge that resulted in an injury to his other leg. The club’s medical staff is currently assessing the situation to determine the recovery timeline, but indications suggest a challenging path ahead.

As a result of this injury, Depay is expected to miss at least the next two key matches for Corinthians. He will not participate in the Libertadores Cup matchup against Uruguay’s Peñarol and the Serie A fixture against Atlético Mineiro. The striker’s primary objective now is to recover in time for the match against Argentina’s Platense scheduled for next week.
