After Javier Mascherano’s departure, Inter Miami has appointed an interim head coach. Following his exit, speculation about potential replacements filled the media, with names like Xavi Hernandez and Marcelo Gallardo being mentioned. However, the club has taken a different approach.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Inter Miami has chosen not to rush the decision and has placed Guillermo Hoyos in charge. The 62-year-old, who previously worked as the club’s sporting director, will serve as the acting head coach. The management is giving him several months to demonstrate his capabilities in this role.

Hoyos has extensive coaching experience, having worked with Universidad de Chile, Atlético Guadalajara, and even managed the Bolivian national team. Currently, Inter Miami is positioned third in the MLS Eastern Conference.
