Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro have announced that they have terminated Brazilian legend Hulk’s contract by mutual consent.
Despite his previous deal running until the end of the year, Hulk parts ways with the Brazilian outfit following reported disagreements between both parties.
“Atlético announces that, by mutual agreement, it has agreed to terminate the contract with Hulk. One of the greatest idols in the club’s history, the player will have a grand farewell party on May 10 at the MRV Arena, before the match against Botafogo in the Brazilian Championship,” read the club’s statement.
“I take with me much more than titles; I take a connection that changed my life. The Rooster and the Atleticana Crowd made me feel at home from the very first day, and I will be eternally grateful to this club that I learned to love. I hope to see all of you at the Arena so we can say goodbye together, the way this beautiful story deserves: with emotion, gratitude, and a big party,” said the 39-year-old.
