ഇക്കാര്യത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹം പറയുന്നതിങ്ങനെ: “ഏറെ നിരാശാജനകമായ പ്രകടനവും ഫലവുമാണിത്. ആദ്യ 15 മിനിറ്റിലെ മോശം തുടക്കമാണ് മത്സരത്തിന്റെ ഗതി നിശ്ചയിച്ചത്. എന്തുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിച്ചതെന്ന് ഇപ്പോൾ പറയാൻ പ്രയാസമാണ്. ലീഡ്സിനെതിരെ നമ്മൾ പ്രതിരോധിച്ച രീതിയുമായി താരതമ്യം ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ, ഈ മത്സരത്തിലെ പ്രകടനം പരിശോധിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.”

Chelsea interim coach Calum McFarlane has admitted his side’s poor start proved decisive in their 3-1 Premier League defeat to Nottingham Forest.
“A really disappointing result and performance. The first 15 minutes was not good enough. That set the tone.
“Its hard to say [why it went wrong at the moment, I’d probably like to review the game to look at such a stark contract to the way we defended against Leeds.
“Enzo Fernandez hits the post and Cole Palmer misses the penalty; when you have such a bad start you need those kind of moments to go in your favour and unfortunately they didn’t,” McFarlane has said.
