AS Monaco has announced a significant change in management following a disappointing season. The club revealed on their official X social media page that 38-year-old Belgian manager Sébastien Pocognoli has been dismissed from his role as head coach.
The decision comes after Monaco finished 7th in Ligue 1, securing qualification only for the UEFA Europa Conference League, the lowest-tier European club tournament. The club’s management expressed their gratitude to Pocognoli, wishing him success in his future endeavors, although they did not provide specific reasons for his departure.
Pocognoli was appointed as head coach in October 2025 and led the team in 38 matches, achieving 16 victories, 9 draws, and 13 losses.
