Reports suggest that Real Madrid has expressed interest in 24-year-old Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori, currently playing for Arsenal. According to Ekrem Konur on the social media platform X, the Spanish club’s management has initiated contact with Arsenal regarding a potential transfer.
Earlier, Real Madrid had reached out to Calafiori’s representatives to discuss the possibility of a move. Now, the club appears prepared to enter direct negotiations with Arsenal.
However, securing this transfer may prove difficult, as Calafiori is considered a vital part of Mikel Arteta’s squad. This season, he has played in 36 matches for the Gunners, contributing one goal and three assists. His contract with Arsenal extends until 2029, and Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at 55 million euros.
