Legendary José Mourinho is unhappy with the current state of Benfica’s squad.

Benfica’s hopes of winning the title have been dashed.

Details: José Mourinho, the 63-year-old head coach of Lisbon’s Benfica, criticized his players following their draw against Casa Pia in the 28th round of the Portuguese Championship.

Mourinho feels that some players do not meet the club’s ambitions, but he is unable to simply let them go:

“We no longer have a chance to win the championship. There are certain players I don’t want to see on the pitch anymore. I don’t want them playing, but they are club assets and have market value,” Mourinho stated.

Currently, Benfica is in third place in the league with 66 points after 28 matches.

Since taking over in September last year, Mourinho has managed Benfica in 38 games, with a record of 23 wins, 7 draws, and 8 losses.

Reminder: Scandinavian reinforcement. Manchester United eyes Samuel Dahl.
