Tottenham Hotspur’s star forward, Son Heung-Min, had no doubts when naming the best striker in the world—and it’s not Cristiano Ronaldo.
Tottenham may not have the silverware to match England’s most decorated clubs, but it remains a Premier League powerhouse with world-class talent. Leading the charge is Son Heung–Min, one of the most prolific forwards of the past decade. Having faced some of the best strikers in both league and international competitions, the South Korean captain made it clear who he believes is the best in the world—and it’s not Cristiano Ronaldo.
With over 120 Premier League goals and 173 in total for Spurs—making him the club’s fourth all-time top scorer—Son’s goal-scoring ability is unquestionable. However, when asked about the greatest striker, he didn’t hesitate to name his former teammate, Harry Kane.
Kane and Son formed one of the most lethal attacking duos in Premier League history during their years together at Tottenham. Speaking about the Bayern Munich star, Son praised Kane’s all-around game in a video shared by Sky Sports Premier League.
“For me, he’s the best striker because it’s not just about scoring goals, which is, of course, very important,” Son admitted. “But it’s also how he brings others into play, how he gets involved in the game, and makes wingers better”.

Despite now playing in different leagues, Son admitted he still keeps in touch with Kane and hopes to reunite with him on the pitch someday. “We still talk. Obviously, I miss him,” Son revealed. “I think he’s a fantastic player—he makes wingers look better. I hope that one day, even if it’s just in a charity match, we can play together again”.
