Nottingham Forest have entered the competition to sign Fenerbahce forward Youssef En-Nesyri.

The Moroccan player is on the radar of several Premier League clubs this month, as Fenerbahce is willing to let him go, either on loan or permanently.

Everton has reportedly made an initial loan offer for the 28-year-old, which includes a purchase option of around €20m (£17.3m).

However, Sky Germany indicates that Nottingham Forest has now joined the pursuit. Forest aims to bring in another forward after Chris Wood’s serious knee injury and the loan departure of Arnaud Kalimuendo to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Everton is believed to still be the leading contender and En-Nesyri’s preferred choice, despite the allure of European football at Forest.

En-Nesyri is currently with the Moroccan national team at the Africa Cup of Nations. The host nation recently defeated Nigeria in a penalty shootout, setting up a final match against Senegal. Any agreement for En-Nesyri is likely to be postponed until after that game this weekend.

En-Nesyri is among several forwards Everton is considering, with reports suggesting they are also looking at an approach for Callum Wilson.

Wilson is available to leave West Ham after just six months, following the recent signings of Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe.
