Nottingham Forest has honored Taiwo Awoniyi following his achievement of reaching 100 appearances for the club. The Nigerian striker was celebrated in a ceremony alongside teammate Chris Wood, who also recently marked his own century of games with the Tricky Trees.
Both players were recognized by their teammates and coaching staff during a training session on Friday, receiving commemorative shirts as a token of appreciation for their contributions to the team.
After receiving his award, Awoniyi expressed his gratitude to his teammates, emphasizing their role in the team’s success throughout the season.
“Thank you guys. This would not have been possible without you guys. For all you have done this season, for where we are, for keeping the team in the Premier League.”
