Omewa Brace Powers Super Falcons to 3-0 Victory Over Senegal in Friendly Win in Ikenne
The Super Falcons showcased their strength in the second half as they secured a 3-0 victory against the Senegal women’s national football team during an international friendly at the Remo Stars Stadium on Monday.
After a competitive first half that ended in a stalemate, the Super Falcons took control of the game post-break, with Omewa emerging as a standout player. She opened the scoring early in the second half and quickly followed up with another goal in the 55th minute to put Nigeria in a commanding position.
Head coach Justin Madugu made strategic substitutions in the 63rd minute, bringing on Asisat Oshoala and Folashade Ijamilusi for Rinsola Babajide and Omewa. This tactical change quickly bore fruit, as Oshoala extended Nigeria’s lead shortly thereafter, converting a pass from Ajibade to seal the match at 3-0.
