The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, has arrived in Dakar, Senegal, for an important visit.

This trip aims to address the ongoing crisis following the Appeals Committee’s unexpected decision on March 17 to revoke Senegal’s African championship title and award it to Morocco.

The fallout has led to a standoff and a protracted legal battle. To help ease tensions, Motsepe is in Dakar to engage with local authorities. He was warmly welcomed upon his arrival by Abdoulaye Fall, the President of the Senegalese Football Federation. Motsepe’s agenda includes meetings with Senegalese officials to discuss the situation.
