Brazilian national team striker Raphinha is confident that he will score a goal when playing against Argentina in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the CONMEBOL zone.

The hot match between the two South American giants will take place at the Estadio Mas Monumental, Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday (3/26) at 05.30 IST.

“I am confident that I can score a goal (against Argentina). I will give my all in the match later,” said Raphinha while speaking on the YouTube channel of Brazilian legend Romario on Monday (3/24).

The Barcelona player also said that the match between Brazil and Argentina this time will be tougher than previous meetings.

“We will beat them… For sure! We will beat them on and off the field if necessary,” continued the 28-year-old player.

The two rivals both won their previous matches. Argentina won 1-0 at Uruguay’s home, while Brazil won dramatically 2-1 over their guests, Colombia.

Argentina currently has 28 points at the top of the standings, while Brazil is in third place with 21 points.

Brazil have lost three, drawn one and won just one of their last five away games in World Cup Qualifiers. They lost 2-0 to Uruguay, 2-1 to Colombia, 1-0 to Paraguay, 2-1 to Chile and 1-1 to Venezuela.

In contrast, Argentina have kept clean sheets in their last three home games in the competition. They won 3-0 to Chile, 6-0 to Bolivia and 1-0 to Peru.

Argentina are also unbeaten and have not conceded a single goal in their last four meetings with Brazil. During that period, Argentina have won three 1-0 and drawn once against their rivals.
