A significant transfer saga is unfolding at Real Madrid this summer as the club looks to bolster its midfield. According to Diario Sport, despite the ongoing presidential election, the board led by Florentino Pérez is taking decisive steps to shape the club’s future. The “Los Blancos” aim to secure a world-class midfielder to fill the void left by legends Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić. Argentine talent Enzo Fernández has emerged as one of Madrid’s top targets, alongside Rodri.
Reports suggest that Fernández is keen on a move to the Spanish capital, especially following Chelsea‘s lackluster season, which resulted in the club missing out on all European competitions. The midfielder is determined to depart from Chelsea this summer, and it is indicated that representatives from Real Madrid have already initiated official discussions with his agent, Javier Pastore.
Nevertheless, Madrid faces a challenging negotiation ahead. Chelsea has firmly set their asking price at £120 million (approximately €140 million) for the Argentine star, which, if finalized, would mark the highest sale in the club’s history.
Former Real captain Sergio Ramos will not be able to buy Sevilla.
