Amsterdam’s Ajax has officially announced the appointment of Míchel as their new head coach. The well-known Spanish specialist has reached an agreement with the management of the Dutch giants, finalizing all terms for his move to the club.
Míchel has signed a full contract with Ajax, which is set for two seasons and will run until June 30, 2028. The announcement was made via the club’s official social media channels.
The club’s leadership is optimistic that Míchel’s dynamic attacking style and his experience in developing young talent will help Ajax regain their position at the top of the Eredivisie and enhance their impact on the European stage.
Prior to joining Ajax, Míchel managed Girona, where he faced challenges, including the team’s relegation to the Segunda División.
