FIFA regulations prohibit the display of stars earned in continental competitions during the World Cup. As the 2021 African champions, Senegal will be unable to sport the star on their jerseys at the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
According to these rules, only nations that have secured a World Cup title are permitted to display stars on their shirts during the tournament. Senegal is set to commence their 2026 World Cup journey on June 16 against France in Group I.
