Details: According to Liverpool‘s official website, it was announced today that former manager of the Reds and current club board member Sir Kenny Dalglish has been diagnosed with cancer.
Dalglish has asked for privacy and respect for himself and his family, promising to do everything in his power to overcome the illness.
Sir Kenny Dalglish is regarded as one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever players. He played for the Reds from 1977 to 1990, winning the English Premier League eight times and lifting the Champions League trophy three times with the club.
From 2011 to 2012, Dalglish even took charge of Liverpool as manager, but soon left the role to become a club board member.
In addition to Liverpool, Dalglish also managed clubs such as Blackburn, Newcastle, and Celtic.
