Africa will be represented by at least six teams in the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, following the completion of the latest group-stage matches. Ghana and Cape Verde have successfully secured their spots, joining four other African nations already qualified for the knockout phase.

The six countries that will advance from Africa include:

  • Morocco
  • Egypt
  • South Africa
  • Côte d’Ivoire
  • Ghana
  • Cape Verde

While six teams have confirmed their advancement, the status of three other African teams—Senegal, Algeria, and DR Congo—remains unclear. They are still awaiting the outcome of their points and goal differences to determine if they can qualify as some of the best third-placed teams.
