Galatasaray is making significant moves in the transfer market as it seeks to bolster its squad ahead of the new season.
The Turkish club has presented a surprising offer for 31-year-old Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva, currently with Manchester City. According to ESPN, Galatasaray aims to capitalize on Silva’s impending free agency, which would allow them to acquire him without a transfer fee.
To entice Silva to join, Galatasaray is reportedly prepared to offer a lucrative salary, enhancing their proposal amid competition for the player’s signature. Previously, Silva was linked with a transfer to Spain’s Barcelona.
Silva is set to leave Manchester City after a notable nine-year tenure, during which he made 460 appearances, netting 76 goals and providing 77 assists. His current market value, as noted by Transfermarkt, is estimated at 27 million euros.
Earlier reports suggested that Bernardo Silva was close to moving to Catalan giants Barcelona.
