The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has imposed a lifetime ban on Petr Vlachovsky, the former head coach of the Czech women’s club Slovácko. This unprecedented decision comes after a thorough investigation into disturbing allegations against the 42-year-old coach.

According to The Athletic, Vlachovsky’s ban is a direct result of evidence indicating that he engaged in covert filming of female players in locker rooms. The investigation revealed that from 2019 to 2023, he used a concealed camera hidden in his backpack to record players changing and showering before and after training sessions and matches.

Fifteen players were identified as victims of this invasion of privacy, with the youngest victim being just 17 years old at the time. The severity of Vlachovsky’s actions prompted UEFA to take decisive action, which it deemed necessary to protect the integrity of the sport.
