Liverpool FC faces another challenge as it prepares for the departure of a key player, central defender Ibrahima Konaté, who is set to leave Anfield as a free agent. This news follows a season marked by inconsistency for the club.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, despite previous assurances from Konaté regarding a contract extension, no negotiations took place, leading to his exit. The French defender joined Liverpool in the summer of 2021 for a transfer fee of €41 million and made his Premier League debut on September 18 in a match against Crystal Palace FC.

In related developments, Inter Milan management is reportedly in discussions with Liverpool over a potential transfer for 25-year-old midfielder Curtis Jones.
