The Algerian club earned their spot in the final after defeating Morocco’s OC Safi.
USM Alger clinched their qualification late in the evening, overcoming Safi in a semi-final marked by incidents of violence. The match concluded with a 1-1 draw, allowing the Algerians to advance based on the away goals rule. After a goalless first leg, both teams found the net during the return leg on Sunday.
Despite drawing 1-1 at the end of the match, USM Alger progressed because they scored an away goal while OC Safi was unable to capitalize on their home advantage. Now, USM Alger is set to meet Zamalek SC in the final of the CAF Confederation Cup.
