The Algerian national football team has confirmed the continuation of Swiss manager Vladimir Petković as head coach for the next two years. This decision underscores the confidence that the Algerian Football Federation has in his leadership.
Petković’s contract extension was officially announced on Sunday, June 7. The 62-year-old coach, who has been at the helm since February 2024, will now lead the Fennecs until 2028.
The announcement coincides with the national team’s upcoming preparations for the World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
