The Cape Verde national team has received a significant boost as key goalkeeper Vozinha has decided to put his international retirement on hold. This decision follows a period of contemplation regarding his future with the team.
In an interview with Goalkeeper, Vozinha revealed that he had initially considered stepping away from the international scene. However, the support from his teammates played a crucial role in his decision to continue. He emphasized that the prospect of participating in the upcoming World Cup was a major influence on his choice.
“I was thinking of leaving the national team. All my teammates spoke to me; they encouraged me to stay because of the World Cup, and that’s why I stayed. Because it was my dream, all of our dreams,” Vozinha stated.
