West Ham is planning to continue their transfer activity this month, looking to sign Charlie Cresswell from Toulouse.

After securing deals for Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente and Valentín Castellanos from Lazio to strengthen their attack, the team is now aiming to add another centre-back.

Cresswell has become a target for the club due to his strong performances for both club and country.

At just 23 years old, he played a crucial role in the England U-21 team that won the European Championship last summer and has earned 26 caps at that level.

He was included in the Team of the Tournament after that victory and received a winner’s medal for the 2023 edition.

Cresswell moved to Toulouse from Leeds United in 2024, where he has since made 48 league appearances, scoring six goals.

So far this season, he is second in Ligue 1 for aerial duels won (73), and ranks highly for clearances (2nd) and blocks (8th).

According to The Guardian, West Ham is keen to finalize the signing of the centre-back this month as they look to improve their chances of staying in the Premier League. The team currently sits in 18th place, four points from safety.
