Lukas Podolski, celebrated as one of the most dazzling footballers of the 21st century, is officially retiring from professional football. The 2014 World Cup winner with the German national team is set to make his final appearance this weekend.
Podolski, affectionately known as “Prince Poldi,” is not bidding farewell to the sport entirely. He has taken a significant step by becoming the full owner of Górnik Zabrze, the club from his childhood where he has played passionately in recent years.
Throughout his illustrious career, Podolski showcased his talent at prominent European clubs, including Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Inter Milan, and Galatasaray.
