England’s preparations for the 2026 World Cup have taken an unexpected turn following a significant criminal incident. According to Sky Sports, Missouri state police have arrested two individuals in connection with a high-profile investigation into the theft of equipment and training gear belonging to the national team, known as the Three Lions.

The incident occurred during the team’s equipment transfer from Florida to Kansas City, just before Gareth Southgate’s squad was scheduled to hold their first training session. Reports suggest that thieves broke into the team vehicle, making off with a substantial amount of crucial property, including the personal boots of star players Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham.

In addition to players’ footwear, the stolen items included expensive analytics equipment, tactical boards used by coaching staff, and even massage tables. Kansas City law enforcement acted quickly, apprehending two persons of interest related to the theft.
