After suffering a defeat to Ivory Coast in their opening match, the Cameroonian national team finds itself in a precarious situation, needing to secure a victory in their next game. The loss has left them without any points in the tournament, heightening the pressure ahead of their crucial encounter with Uganda.

Manager Saidou Alioum remains calm despite the setback. In a recent press conference, he acknowledged the skill level of the Ivorian team while expressing disappointment over the outcome, emphasizing that in a tournament where every point is vital, they must approach the next match with determination.

“We’ve just played against a very good Ivory Coast side. In a four-team competition, it’s important to avoid losing the first match. For us, the next match will therefore be a must-win to stay in the competition,” Alioum stated. He highlighted that both Ivory Coast and Uganda currently hold three points, while Cameroon and the DRC have zero, making their upcoming clash with Uganda paramount for their tournament aspirations.
