Barcelona is reportedly poised to strengthen its squad this summer as the transfer window approaches. The Catalan club is emerging as the leading contender to acquire 27-year-old Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush, currently with Manchester City.
According to CaughtOffside, Manchester City is prepared to part ways with Marmoush but is seeking a fee of at least €60 million. Despite facing financial hurdles, Barcelona intends to conduct several player sales this summer, which could enhance their flexibility in the transfer market.
Marmoush joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 for €75 million. Since then, he has made 59 appearances, scoring 16 goals and providing 6 assists. His current market value is estimated at €60 million, according to Transfermarkt.
