Sabri Lamouchi has reportedly been dismissed from his position as head coach of the Tunisia national football team following a disheartening 5-1 loss to Sweden in their first match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
As per ESPN journalist Romain Molina, the Tunisian Football Federation has chosen to terminate Lamouchi’s contract in light of the disappointing result in Group F, which has put significant pressure on Tunisia’s World Cup campaign.
The match against Sweden highlighted Tunisia’s struggles on the field, showcasing a performance that failed to meet expectations. Although an official announcement from the Tunisian Football Federation is still pending, it is believed that Lamouchi’s tenure is effectively over. Mondher Kebaier is anticipated to step in as his replacement.
