The Saudi Pro League has announced its Player of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign, surprising many as the honor did not go to Cristiano Ronaldo. Instead, the accolade was awarded to João Félix following a successful season with Al-Nassr.
Al-Nassr captured their first league title since the 2018/19 season after a decisive 4-1 victory against Damac in the final round. This success set the stage for one of the club’s key players to receive the league’s top individual award.
João Félix, who joined Al-Nassr in July 2025, became an essential part of the team. Over the course of the season, he made 47 appearances across all competitions, scoring 26 goals and providing 19 assists. Notably, he contributed 20 goals and 14 assists in league play alone.
