Atalanta’s coach, Raffaele Palladino, confirmed the potential transfer of midfielder Ederson during a post-match press conference following the team’s game against Fiorentina, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Palladino addressed Ederson’s absence from the squad, stating that it was due to ongoing negotiations for his move to a top club. The manager’s comments highlighted the seriousness of the transfer discussions surrounding the player.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Ederson is expected to complete a transfer to Manchester United imminently. The Red Devils are reportedly set to pay €45 million for the Brazilian midfielder, who will sign a contract that extends until 2031.
During the 2025/26 season, Ederson made 41 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
