French football club Marseille is reportedly considering the sale of Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who may be on the move this summer. The potential transfer comes as Aubameyang’s substantial salary has become a significant financial burden for the club, limiting their ability to recruit new players.

Renowned journalist Ekrem Konur shared on his X social media platform that the 37-year-old striker could leave Marseille soon. As the club navigates its budgetary constraints, Aubameyang has emerged as a candidate for sale during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Various clubs have shown interest in acquiring Aubameyang. The primary contenders include Turkish teams Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş, Çorum FK, and several clubs from the USA, Italy, and Spain.

Aubameyang joined Marseille in the summer of 2025 as a free agent. In the previous season, he made 41 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists. His market value is currently estimated at €2.5 million by Transfermarkt.
