Messi refuses to slow down.

Leo wants to be on the pitch for every match.

Details: According to The Touchline, citing journalist and insider Leo Paradizo, 39-year-old Argentine genius Lionel Messi has asked Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni not to leave him on the bench for the final group stage clash against Jordan.

Reports say Messi wants to play to maintain his match fitness, as skipping the game against Jordan would mean an 11-day break, which could negatively impact his match rhythm and physical condition.

Messi believes that even a few minutes on the pitch against Jordan will help him stay in form and be fully ready for the round of 16.

So far, Leo has netted 5 goals in two matches at this World Cup. He has surpassed Miroslav Klose to become the all-time top scorer in World Cup history.

The Argentina vs Jordan showdown is set for June 28.
