Bayer Leverkusen has secured the signing of Kennet Eichorn, one of Germany’s most promising young talents, in a competitive transfer battle. Industry insider Fabrizio Romano reported that Eichorn has completed a thorough medical examination and finalized the necessary formalities to join the ‘Pharmacists.’
The club acted promptly by triggering the early release clause in Eichorn’s previous contract, paying €9 million to facilitate the transfer. Interest in the young player was substantial, with several Premier League clubs, as well as Bayern Munich, competing to secure his services.
Despite lucrative offers from England, Eichorn and his representatives chose Bayer Leverkusen’s long-term sporting project. The club has signed the German wonderkid on a five-year deal, which extends through June 2031.
This season, Eichorn has featured in 20 matches for Hertha, scoring two goals. Transfermarkt currently estimates his value at €20 million.
