Khalil and Cedric Kaze have assumed coaching responsibilities at the Kaizer Chiefs after the club decided to part ways with Nasredine Nabi. The decision was made mid-season, marking a significant shift in the club’s management structure.
Ben Youssef Khalil has indicated that queries regarding his future should be directed to the club’s management rather than himself. After their appointment, Khalil and co-coach Kaze committed to leading the team through the remainder of the season.
The duo had initially joined the club alongside Nabi but continued on as coaches after his departure. Amid speculation surrounding their future, Khalil emphasized that any decisions would be made by the club’s hierarchy.
“We are here to work,” Khalil stated following the team’s 2-0 victory over Sekhukhune United at New Peter Mokaba Stadium. “You can ask the board, not for me.”
There have been rumors linking Pitso Mosimane to the chief coaching position, however, both the club and Mosimane have denied such claims.
