Portuguese footballer Bernardo Silva has clarified that he is not in a hurry to return to Benfica, despite expressing fondness for his former club. In a recent interview, the 31-year-old Manchester City and Portugal attacking midfielder responded to questions about a potential summer transfer.
While Silva indicated a desire to return to Benfica in the future, he emphasized that the timing is not currently right. He stated,
“I’d love to come back, but at another time… I don’t know if Benfica will still want me by then,”

Silva emerged from Benfica’s youth academy, making the transition to the senior squad before his move to Monaco for €15 million in 2015. As his contract with Manchester City is set to expire this summer, there has been no announcement regarding an extension, with Transfermarkt currently valuing him at €27 million.
