Chicago Fire is intensifying efforts to secure the signature of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, a move that reflects the club’s ongoing ambition to attract global football talent. This development has been reported by prominent football insider Fabrizio Romano.

As per the latest information, Chicago Fire appears to be leading the race to sign the captain of the Polish national team. With Lewandowski’s contract at Barcelona set to expire soon, he will enter the market as a free agent. The American club is reportedly prepared to offer the striker a lucrative salary of around €20 million per year.

Over the past three years, Chicago Fire has pursued Neymar, but the Brazilian has opted to return to his homeland. Now, Lewandowski stands as the club’s primary target. Should negotiations go as planned, the Polish forward could become the new marquee player for Chicago Fire and one of the most prominent figures in the league.
