Today, Bayern Munich announced on their official page on social media platform X that 42-year-old Brazilian Dante has been appointed as the head coach of Bayern Munich II.
This announcement marks Dante’s decision to retire from playing professional football and start his coaching career. He will take over the role from Holger Seitz, making this his inaugural coaching position.
Dante enjoyed a successful playing career at Bayern from 2012 to 2015, during which he made 133 appearances, netting 5 goals and providing 8 assists.
His last professional engagement was with French club Nice, where he played since 2016.
