Athletic Bilbao has officially appointed Edin Terzić as their new head coach, marking the first time the 43-year-old German specialist will coach in Spain. The announcement was made on the club’s official website and social media platform X.
Terzić, who previously managed Borussia Dortmund and has coaching experience with Beşiktaş and West Ham, has signed a contract with Athletic Bilbao that extends until 2028. There is a possibility for contract extension based on his success during his tenure.
He will begin his role at the end of the current season, taking over from outgoing coach Ernesto Valverde, who is set to leave the position.
