English football fans are transforming the World Cup in the United States into a significant “booze tour,” with establishments witnessing an extraordinary surge in beer consumption. Bar and pub owners are reportedly astonished by the unprecedented demand, which has left their reserves depleted.

According to the Daily Star, during England’s recent 4-2 victory over Croatia, a single bar experienced a staggering consumption of 45,349 pints of beer by “Three Lions” supporters. Many fans celebrated the win by engaging in various revelries, including riding a mechanical bull and jumping into a fountain at Texas Live park. Staff members indicated that they had not anticipated such a volume of demand, even during high-profile NFL playoff games featuring the Dallas Cowboys.

At the Londoner Pub & Grill in Dallas, patrons consumed approximately 5,000 bottles of beer—equivalent to £30,000—within a mere three-hour window. Employees noted that some of their equipment and furniture struggled to cope with the unprecedented turnout but emphasized their pride in hosting a large number of English fans. Meanwhile, breweries have reported the need for emergency shipments to meet what they describe as “historic” demand.

Local venues are grappling with consumption levels never seen before, with one pub representative stating, “We’ve never seen anything like this.” Several establishments have reported that nearly all their beer stock was sold out, with certain brands vanishing in just hours.
